Food Review: Lenas @ MOF

It has been a long time since I've been to Lenas with my family. I really love eating there as they serve my two favourite types of cuisines: Western and Japanese. I was really craving for steaks that day so I agreed eating there immediately.

Even though I was wanted steak badly, it still took me more than 10 minutes to order. There were just too many food to choose from. Pasta, Steak, Japanese baked rice etc but eventually succumbed to my thirst for steak and ordered the Grilled Prime Ribeye. (180g $24(2 sidedishes), $22(1 sidedish, $19(no sidedish)The steak meal also includes a side dish (Coleslaw, Garden Salad, Baked Potato, Sweet corn, Whipped Potato, Pilat Rice, Parma Fries and Potato Wedges). Luckily my sister recommended the Parma Fries or I would have to take another 10 minutes to choose.

And just as I was about to put down the menu the drinks section caught my eye. Matcha Latte with chocolate sauce (and also caramel, matcha and kuromitsu sauce)! I just had Starbucks but that's not stopping me from ordering another cup of drink.

After a not-so-long wait the drinks finally came. My sister has the membership card so she got a free cup of ice tea (and also a 10% off the whole dinner) which I don't really like as it was quite bland. I really really loved my drink so much! There green tea taste was really strong and sweet and the amount of chocolate used was just right. Being so tasty, I had to put it further away from me to stop myself from finishing it before the main course arrived!

My sister and I were shocked when we realized that my dad finished his strawberry milkshake after a few minutes after the drinks arrived. It must've tasted really nice but we're not a fan of strawberry.

I ordered my ribeye medium because any steak that's above medium tastes crappy, premium beef or not. Only some parts of the steak was tender but the other parts were quite soft too. There isn't much fats in the steak, just the way I like it. The sauce that came with it was mushroom sauce and I didn't use much of it cause I prefer the original juicy beef taste.

The parma fries is an excellent side dish. Unlike the fries you get from fast food restaurants which are salty and oily, the parma fries were fresh cut and the double cheese sauce with it had a slight addictive taste.

It was truly a wonderful dinner and I am craving for more of the delicious pastas and steaks and Lenas as I'm blogging about it right now.

Slappy Cakes- DoItYourself PANCAKES!!

It's been a long time since I've blogged about food so yea it means that this restaurant is really special, interesting and fantabulicious!

When my mom told me about it I thought it was just a really long table with bowls of toppings and all and we buy the pancakes and dump them all over it. I wasn't impressed about this restaurant till I was there.

It turns out we get to order the pancake, fry them ourselves and order the toppings too!

There were 5 different pancake mixes to choose from - Buttermilk, Whole Grain, Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Zucchini that costs $8 each.

We ordered Buttermilk, Chocolate (it's not living life to your fullest if you have never ate chocolate pancakes before) and peanut butter.

There were so many sweet sweet SWEET toppings to choose from. I was hyper before eating the toppings. I swear if I'm richer I'd have everything on the menu. Even... Sea Coconut whatever that tastes like.

After a long time, we finally made up our minds and ordered Hazelnut, Blueberries, Strawberries, Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Hazelnut spread and WHIPCREAM! (what's pancakes without whipcream?)

And if you're not enthusiastic about pancakes and was dragged into the restaurant like my dad, there's also delicious All Day Breakfast menu to choose from.

Even though I had dozens of pancakes I was still hungry and ordered the Country Fried Steak xD

And then there was the drink- Pink Lemonade that I took 5 minutes to choose

My first pancake... please mind my horrible art (I'm sorry blackbear)

My second one was way better :D

Forgive me chopper D:

My dad drew this haha

My sis drew this for me :)

And of course, for someone like me, I wouldn't not do something stupid in situations like this
TIC
TAC
TOE

I don't get how the pancake didn't get burnt after so long. In fact it tasted better when it's cookie-ish.

Before I left, I saw this 2 guys drawing 3D stuff like cubes and stuff so I decided to try it myself. The bike kinda sorta fail but hey, it's my first time trying.

This restaurant left me a really big impression. I mean how can you not love food and art at the same time?! I really like this concept of decorating your own pancake. It makes eating funner than it is and makes the not-so-delicious pancakes tastes better!

I had lots of fun that night and I can't wait to be back eventhough it's really far away. The next time I'm there I'm definitely gonna make lots of cool 3D pancakes!

Movie Review: Disney Frozen (2013)

Yay! Finally got to watch a movie! :D wait no, 2 movies! Frozen and Catching Fire :)

Bryan and I watched Frozen first. I thought it'll just be some ordinary cartoon but I was wrong. It's amazing, incredible, marvelous (I should stop using thesaurus now)

Yea I know even the poster is nice

It starts with Elsa and Anna playing together as child. Elsa has this really awesome power to create snow and turn things into ice. Everything was happy and all until she almost killed her sister Anna. Elsa knew that her powers will get stronger and she won't be able to control it, so she stopped talking to everyone except for her parents.

After her parents died of an accident, Elsa became queen but lost control of her powers in a party and left for the wild.

She made a really awesome ice castle! :D

I should probably introduce the main characters to you first

Anna set off to find Elsa while she left Arendelle to Hans, the guy that she knew for her day and... was engaged to. She met Kristoff and Olaf, the snowman that Anna and her sister made when they were young.

They finally found Elsa but Anna's heart was froze by Elsa by accident and only an act of true love will melt the ice.

Spoiler [Ending] (Highlight to view it)

They all thought Hans was Anna's true love but they were wrong. Hans refused to save Anna but luckily Hans came back for Anna.

Hans wanted to kill Elsa. Just as he swung the sword at her, Anna came out to block the sword and was turned into ice before the sword hit her.

Elsa hugged her and the ice melted. :D

And they lived happily ever after~

Oh and Demi Lovato fans should watch Frozen too cause 'Let it Go' will be in the movie :3

Universal Studios Singapore

Yay! I went to USS for free today thanks to my annual pass :D
Battlestar Galactica is like going through some repairs now so it's like a ghost town in USS but it doesn't bother me much cause my favorite ride is Elmo: Spaghetti Space Chase  :D
Hehe maybe cause it's colorful and all (I'm childish)

And we got a picture with this trashcan guy (sorry elmo fans I don't know his name)

The waiting time for the rides are like super fast! I only waited for 5 minutes for this ride.

We went to the Egypt place afterwards. I went to Universal Studios in other countries before when I was young and I didn't dare to open my eyes. So even when I'm 13 I still didn't dare to open them until today. My sis kinda forced me to open them. Again the waiting time are like super fast.

Just as the ride was about to start Monice (my sis) told me to hold on to the bars tightly. So... I got the idea to hold on to her arm instead. I think I gripped her arms really tight cause her there was my hand print on her arm :p It was her fault for making me look haha

We went to the next ride immediately which is really really really boring :0...

And then we went to Far Far Away! which is kinda far away from the entrance xD

I watched the Shrek show countless times already but I still enjoy watching it. It's really nice!

Just before we left, we took pictures with the Penguins of Madagascar :D

and came across this funny hat place :)
the joker hat totally says my name

Snow City Singapore

So, I've decided to be nice and volunteer to help at snow city... I'm not sure why but maybe cause Christmas is coming around and of course, who doesn't want to be on Santa's good list.

The place was flooded with people. I had a hard time finding the beneficiary child I was assigned to.

10 people got grouped together and voila... Team 1 and 2!

It was freezing cold in the ice room thingy (let's just call it a ice room :3)
We had 2 'missions' to complete inside-  Slide down the icy slope in a yellow tube and complete a puzzle and the other one is to slide down the icy slope again and burst a balloon at the bottom.

We kept asking "Did my ears drop off?" "Is my ears still here?" when we're queuing it was damn fun even though it was freezing cold! :D

InJie, Han Yuan and I tried blowing and tying the balloon before sliding down. I had to take off the fat puffy gloves before tying and I got shoved down the slope gloveless and I had to cling on to a rope at the side. OH MAN THAT HURTS! ><

It was free time after that and it was kinda obvious what everyone will do- snowball fight >:D
Some guy shoved snow in my ears and down my shirt... but it's not as worst as Ethel. She looks like some snow monster when she came out xD

haha look at Ethel's face :3

And the volunteers get a shirt too :D
